STEWED PLUMS WITH SWEET GOATS' CHEESE CREAM
Ingredients
- 2 plums
- stones removed
- halved
- ½ bottle red wine
- 1 orange
- juice and zest
- 100g/3½oz caster sugar
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 1 tsp cloves
- 50g/1½oz goats' cheese
- 50ml/2fl oz double cream
- 50ml/2fl oz runny honey
Directions
- For the stewed plums
- place all of the ingredients into a saucepan
- bring to the boil and simmer for 6-7 minutes
- or until the plums are tender.
- Remove the plums from the liquid using a slotted spoon and transfer to a bowl.
- For the sweet goats' cheese cream
- place all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix well to combine.
- To serve
- spoon some of the goats' cheese cream over the plums in the bowl.
