Ingredients
  • 5 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt (iodized)
  • 4 cups milk (whole)
  • 6 pounds frozen cherries (or blueberry, apple, peach)
  • 3 cups sugar/white granulated
  • 4 ½ tablespoon corn starch
  • 3 tablespoon lemon juice (grated)
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves ground
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (ground)
  • ¾ cup fruit juice
  • 4 ½ oz butter (cut into bits)

  • Directions
  • Cream together the butter and sugar. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add them alternately to the butter mixture with the milk until just combined.
  • Spray pan with pam and spread evenly with dough, set aside.
  • Combine the ingredients for the filling and spread over the top.
  • Dot with the butter and bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes.
