FRESHLY-SALTED CUCUMBERS
Ingredients
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp horseradish
- 2 horseradish leaves
- 10 small pickling cucumbers
- washed
- 2 tbsp salt
Directions
- Put the garlic
- horseradish and horseradish leaves in the bottom of a large sterilised jar and add the cucumbers.
- Add the salt to 2 litres/3½ pints water and mix thoroughly. Pour the salted water over the cucumbers
- screw on the lid and leave to rest for 24 hours.
- The cucumbers will keep in the fridge for one month.
