PASTA WITH TOMATO AND CHILLI SAUCE
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ red onion
- sliced
- 1 garlic clove
- chopped
- 150g/5½oz tinned tomatoes
- chopped
- ½ tsp dried chilli flakes
- 150g/5½oz penne pasta
- cooked according to packet instructions
Directions
- Place a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the olive oil
- red onion and garlic and cook for five minutes
- until the onion has softened.
- Add the tomatoes and chilli flakes and continue to cook for five more minutes.
- To serve
- place the pasta in a bowl and pour over the tomato sauce.
