SPICY MACKEREL FILLETS WITH HORSERADISH CREAM
SPICY MACKEREL FILLETS WITH HORSERADISH CREAM

Ingredients
  • 1 mackerel fillet
  • cut in half
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp medium curry powder
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 25g/1oz fresh grated horseradish
  • 150ml/5½oz double cream
  • whipped
  • ¼ lemon
  • juice only
  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 50g/1¾oz rocket leaves
Directions
  • Rub the mackerel pieces with the turmeric and curry powder.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the mackerel and fry for two minutes on each side.
  • To make the horseradish cream
  • place all the ingredients into a small bowl and mix together well.
  • To serve
  • place the spiced mackerel fillets onto a bed of rocket with a spoonful of the horseradish cream on the side.
