BUND GOBI AUR NARIAL (CABBAGE with COCONUT)

- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 700 grams cabbage, shredded
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1/3 teaspoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons desiccated coconut
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin

- Heat the oil in a karahi (wok) over medium heat and add the bay leaves, cumin seeds and the green chilies and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add the cabbage, salt and sugar and mix. Cover, lower the heat to medium and cook for about 15 minutes until half done.
- Add the coconut and ground cumin and fry, stirring constantly for 10-15 minutes until all the moisture has evaporated.
