CIDER, RUM AND CINNAMON PUNCH

Ingredients
  • 6 large apples
  • diced
  • 1 litre/1 pint 15fl oz cider
  • 250ml/8¾fl oz dark rum
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 litre/1 pint 15fl oz water
  • 100g/3½oz sugar
Directions
  • Place all the ingredients in a pan
  • except the rum. Cook slowly for one hour 15 minutes
  • then add the rum. Serve warm or cold.
