STICKY SESAME COD WITH JAPANESE-STYLE BROTH

Ingredients
  • 100g/3½oz cod fillet
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • ½ pint chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • 50g/1¾oz peas (tinned or frozen
  • thawed)
  • 3 tbsp coriander
  • chopped
Directions
  • In a bowl
  • mix the sesame oil
  • soy sauce
  • honey and cod and marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Place the cod into a steamer and cook for 12 minutes.
  • For the broth
  • place the chicken stock into a pan with the soy sauce and chilli flakes
  • and cook for five minutes to infuse the broth.
  • Add the peas and coriander and cook for one minute
  • Serve the cod on top of the broth in a large deep bowl
  • sprinkled with the sesame seeds.
