FIGS WRAPPED WITH CRISPY BACON
Ingredients
- 3 figs
- 50g/3½oz Camembert
- cut into 3 pieces
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp butter
- 3 rashers streaky bacon
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
- Make a criss-cross in the top of each fig
- pinch the base to expand the opening at the top
- and stuff each with a Camembert piece. Season
- to taste
- with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Heat the butter in a small ovenproof frying pan and fry the figs for one minute. Place the pan into the oven and roast for six minutes
- or until the cheeseis melted and golden.
- In a separate pan
- fry the bacon on both sides for 4-5 minutes
- or until crisp. Remove the figs from the oven and wrap each one with a rasher of bacon.
- To serve
- place the bacon-wrapped figs onto a plate.
