CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST WITH HONEY, CREAM AND ORANGE
Ingredients
- 1 free-range egg
- 150ml/5fl oz milk
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 slices white bread
- 25g/1oz butter
- 1 orange
- peeled and sliced
- icing sugar
- for dusting
- 2 tbsp clear honey
- 3 tbsp double cream
Directions
- Whisk the egg
- milk
- sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl until well combined
- then soak the bread slices in the mixture.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan
- add the bread slices and fry for 1-2 minutes on both sides
- or until golden-brown all over.
- To serve
- arrange the orange slices on a serving plate
- place the toast on top and dust with icing sugar. Drizzle over the honey and cream.
