CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST WITH HONEY, CREAM AND ORANGE
CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST WITH HONEY, CREAM AND ORANGE

Ingredients
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 150ml/5fl oz milk
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 25g/1oz butter
  • 1 orange
  • peeled and sliced
  • icing sugar
  • for dusting
  • 2 tbsp clear honey
  • 3 tbsp double cream
Directions
  • Whisk the egg
  • milk
  • sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl until well combined
  • then soak the bread slices in the mixture.
  • Melt the butter in a frying pan
  • add the bread slices and fry for 1-2 minutes on both sides
  • or until golden-brown all over.
  • To serve
  • arrange the orange slices on a serving plate
  • place the toast on top and dust with icing sugar. Drizzle over the honey and cream.
